Halcyon conservation was contracted to both locate and re-attach the broken branch.
Once located both faces of the break were lightly abraded with red scotch-brite mops, and then degreased. Once fitted with a supporting armature, the branch was TIG welded into position, and then fettled of any excess bronze. Lastly the area was re-patinated, chemically rinsed and waxed.
